Maria Sturges

Maria Sturges serves as Chief Compliance and Operations Officer and Atlanta Trust Manager for Pendleton Square Trust Company’s Atlanta office. In this role, she provides leadership and oversight of the firm’s compliance framework and operational functions, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and supporting efficient, client-focused service delivery.

Maria holds both the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation from the American Bankers Association and the Accredited Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (ATFA) designation from the Trust Advisors Institute. She is an active member of the trust and wealth management community and serves on the board of the Trust Education Foundation, where she helps raise funds and awareness for Campbell University’s Trust and Wealth Management program.

With more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Maria has held a variety of roles across trust and wealth management. Her broad background and deep expertise make her a key contributor to Pendleton Square Trust Company’s leadership team.

A native of Connecticut, Maria enjoys an active lifestyle with her husband and their yellow Labrador. In her free time, she enjoys walking, hiking, kayaking, reading, and gardening.
