Jake Poulakis

Jake Poulakis is a ILIT and BSA Officer, Compliance Associate with Pendleton Square, supporting our Chattanooga Office. Jake’s responsibilities include overseeing the administration of our Insurance Trusts (ILITs), including gathering contributions from grantors and ensuring that premium payments are paid on time. Jake also oversees our BSA Program, including ensuring all AML, CIP, OFAC, and FinCEN requirements are met. Jake’s responsibilities as a Compliance Associate include recommending process improvements to mitigate operational and compliance risks, conducting quarterly compliance tests on internal accounts, and training new employees on Compliance and BSA related matters.

Jake is originally from the Chattanooga area and is looking forward to being back in his hometown. Jake went to undergrad at Bryan College, in Rhea County. He played soccer there and was a double major in Political Science and History. After undergrad, Jake attended law school at Belmont University. While in law school, Jake worked for a real estate and title company during his 1L summer and worked for FORVIS as an International Tax Law Intern in his 2L summer. Jake also Clerked for the 8th Circuit Court of Davidson County, for Wilson County Schools as a Constitutional Legal Intern, and for the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office in the Criminal Appeals Division. In his free time, Jake is guaranteed to be watching soccer, and is a massive Manchester United supporter.
