Marissa Fonte

Marissa is a Trust Officer for Pendleton Square and is based in the Atlanta office. She works with client families in the Southeast, helping them navigate complex trust documents and estate plans with care and conscientiousness.

Marissa obtained both her Bachelor’s degree and Paralegal Certificate from the University of Georgia. Marissa holds the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation, and she has completed the American Banking Association’s two-year Trust and Wealth Management School. Prior to Pendleton Square, Marissa spent several years at Truist Bank, working in Estate Services, and later as a Regional Trust Advisor. Marissa started her career with thirteen years as a Tax Accountant, working mostly in trust and individual taxation and doing tax preparation and tax planning for high and ultra-high net families. She has prior experience working for an estate planning law firm, an ultra-high net worth family office, and a national RIA. She holds the Enrolled Agent license, and although currently non-practicing, she has represented clients before the IRS, advocating for them and resolving tax controversies.

Marissa is a member of the North Georgia Estate Planning Council. In her spare time, Marissa enjoys performing on local dance teams, hiking, and exploring the world via international travel. Marissa enjoys spending time with her two shelter-adopted kitties, and she values family, friends, animals, nature, and the arts.
